During his Road Recovery Master Class, Chris Difford referred to an excerpt of an old elder’s story entitled 'Lost’ when speaking to the Road Recovery group about when one feels lost:

"The forest breathes. Listen. It answers, I have made this place around you, If you leave it you may come back again, saying Here. No two trees are the same to Raven. No two branches are the same to Wren. If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you, You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows Where you are. You must let it find you. I’m in the forest, there with Road Recovery" - Chris Difford, Squeeze

BETHEL, NY (June 18, 2010) - Grammy Award winning artist and Road Recovery supporter Peter Frampton engaged teens at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Friday, June 18th, when Bethel Woods and Road Recovery joined forces to organize "Meeting and Music" at the site of the famed 1969 Woodstock festival.

‘Peace Out' Road Recovery &
Bethel Woods crew unite for good with Sullivan County area youth!

Youth from Road Recovery's New York City Performance Workshops program kicked off the day with a one hour interactive "Meeting & Music" presentation which included an unplugged performance of original songs by their band TYPE II, and sharing their life experiences, struggles and triumphs with the group of local teens attending the event from Recovery Center and Dynamite Youth, located in nearby Monticello, NY. The powerfully honest and inspiring innovative presentation empowered the teen audience, who were engaged and inspired by their fellow teens and were able to express their experiences and support for each other.

The evening culminated backstage in a closed-door gathering with Peter Frampton and his son Julian who both shared their musical life experiences. Teens had the opportunity to ask questions and make comments to both.

Interpol Drummer & New York Philharmonic Principal Violist Host Road Recovery *Master Classes.

Monday, June 14, 2010: Threshold Music Studios/Major Who, NYC

Drummer Sam Fogarino, member of the New York indie rock band Interpol, took time after his pre-tour rehearsal to sit and share his life and musical experiences with Road Recovery's teens at their rehearsal studio.

From the rough neighborhoods in West Philadelphia which exposed him to the real world, in addition to his mom's never ceasing support to pursue his dream of playing music, Sam Fogarino was provided with the strength he needed to realize his success. His message to the teens revealed that one can determine his or her own success by how happy one can be, not by the wealth or status one accumulates.

Filled with gratitude for what his tenacity has shown him, Sam Fogarino extended a hand to Road Recovery's youth; all of whom have faced life's challenges against all odds and now are all examples of true success.

"Road Recovery is incredible…they are a Godsend. Road Recovery's programs pan all the creative arts and couple them with the support of the medical world. The marriage of the two is a template that can be applied in helping people overcome any issue for anyone!"
