"The Road To Crazy James" is a seven-minute, emotionally-charged, behind-the-scenes chronicle about the formation of Crazy James (Road Recovery's youth band). It’s the story of a group of desperate kids determined to "rock the world" – but first needed to tackle their dependency on drugs and alcohol. It’s a story that needed to be told.

Enter the legendary producing team of Roman and his long-time friend and collaborator Danny Tepper. Once they caught wind of Road Recovery’s innovative program, they jumped in with all four feet. "Rescuing kids with rock and roll? Game on!"

Having carved a niche in music video programming with hot networks like Fuse and VH1, Roman has become one of the most in-demand video editors in the business. Ever since his Emmy nod, he has been the go-to guy for networks that want to ROCK! He recruited Danny Tepper to help bring the project to life. Tepper, an award-winning director, writer and producer, jumped at the opportunity to document the story of Crazy James. Tepper is the man behind countless hours of VH1 programming, including the critically acclaimed show, BILL CLINTON: ROCK AND ROLL PRESIDENT. You’ve seen his work on CBS’s SURVIVOR, BRAVO, VH1, LIFETIME, A&E, DISCOVERY and just about every other network on the air. Between the two of them, Tepper and Roman have an Emmy Award, multiple Telly Awards, a NY Film Festival Award & a bunch of others. Lately they’ve been making killer music videos for acts like the rapper Peedo.


In "The Road To Crazy James", Roman and Tepper capture the essence of the teens' struggles to heal their wounds by making music. The result is an honest and inspiring look at a true ROAD RECOVERY.
